Coy Byrum is Dillon Transportation’s October 2016 Driver of the Month!!

Coy started with Dillon Transportation in August 2011, making this his 5th year with Company.

Coy is a great guy, who will do anything he can to help out & takes pride in all that he does. He is a bit of a perfectionist, but that makes him great at what he does.

Get to Know Coy…

Q: Tell us about yourself.

A – I was in the Navy for 18 years, both active &     reserves. I spent 39 months in Vietnam. I have been married to my wonderful wife Sherrie for 44 years. We have 3 children & 6 grandkids who I adore.

Q: What do you like to do on your home-time? 

A – All of my spare time is spent with my family. I am so proud of my grandkids. I may sometimes get in trouble but I like showing the older grandkids how to use circular saws, chainsaws, & how to split logs. Things that they need to learn how to do.  I enjoy doing things around the house. I built the back porch & the deck around the pool & have more work to do.

Q: Fun Fact about yourself?

A  – I  went to college for 3 years to be an industrial engineer. Enjoyed Driving so much more!

Q: How did you get started in Transportation?

A – I started driving 42 years ago. My best friend & mentor, my father-n-law & a marine, introduced me to the business. I started with Dillon 5 years ago but it took me 14 years to get here. When I first heard about Dillon Transportation, Mr. Dillon had a waiting list. I eventually made it here though & so glad I did.
